HockeyHKWS 24-25 Circular No. 16 - Goalkeeper Passport Program

Dear Community,

Continuing our player passport scheme, we are excited to announce the launch of the Goalkeeper Passport Program to support our single team clubs in the Premier Division. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by these clubs and the need to develop specialist positions like goalkeepers, this program aims to foster growth and provide valuable opportunities for aspiring goalkeepers, ensuring a safe, competitive, and fair environment for all participants.

Program Overview:

The Goalkeeper Passport Program allows single team clubs in the Premier Division to passport goalkeepers from other divisions only when their own goalkeeper is unable to attend a match.

Participation Details:

Eligible Clubs: Single team clubs in the Premier Division.

Passport Goalkeepers: Players interested in participating who are not currently registered with a Saturday Premier Division Team.

Selection Process:

Interested clubs and goalkeepers are invited to fill out the Google Form to express their interest in the program. Please note that this is not a fixed pairing; it will be based on the actual needs of the Premier clubs and the availability of goalkeepers. Premier Division clubs will have the final say in selection should more than one goalkeeper be made available for the match. Any player movements must be recorded on the match card and communicated clearly to all captains and umpires prior to the start of the match.

We believe this program will significantly benefit our community by ensuring a fair and competitive game while enhancing the quality of goalkeeping and providing more opportunities for players in our league.

If any Club (single or multi team) has any difficulties with Goal Keepers in the Premier League - or any questions about the scheme, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your support.

Kind Regards,

HockeyHKWS
