HKHAMS 17-18 Circular No. 28 - Abusive behaviour against umpires

Dear Club Convenors,

The Men’s Section has received a complaint from the Umpire Section that spectators have given an umpire abuse after a game.

Any crowd trouble and any abuse of umpires will simply not be tolerated by the Men’s Section, who will use its powers under Section 15.5 of its General Bye Laws to hold clubs responsible for the conduct of their spectators. As in previous years, the Men’s Section will not hesitate in imposing retroactive penalties, such as fines, league points deduction, and awarding walkovers in respect of games that have already been played.

Respect umpires, respect the opposition, respect the game.
