Fixtures - Comments and Changes Requested
Dear Convenors,
Please see the attached draft Winter League and Cup fixtures for season 2024/25. Please kindly submit comments by EOD Thursday 22nd August in the specified format (see comments and change requests file). Final fixtures will be issued Monday next week latest including umpiring duties.
A reminder that due to the closure of Kings Park Hockey Ground for this season, pitch space is at a premium. We will not be able to accommodate any change requests without sufficient reason (e.g. major life events). Swaps may be considered if the requesting club propose a viable solution. There are limited back up slots for postponements due to inclement weather conditions or other match postponements (e.g pitch watering failure). If there are many cancellations of midweek games, there is a possibility that we may have to utilise Saturday slots for rescheduling.
The league structure has been communicated to the Convenors. Premier will split into Premier A and Premier B after one round, and the highest ranked eligible team from Division 1 after one round will join Premier B. For avoidance of doubt, the D1 teams not eligible for promotion to Premier are HKFC C, HKFC D and Bauhinia B. In line with our goals to expand the Premier League, the team promoted into Premier B after R1, will remain in the Premier Division for season 25/26. Placeholders for all Prem and D1 matches are included in these fixtures, these may be subject to minor changes (time and or location depending on where teams rank) – we will endeavour to reduce the impact on non-Prem/D1 teams. Fixtures will be updated as soon as the final rankings are confirmed.
Further changes may be required once international fixtures/ tours for the season are confirmed.
Note that all cup matches, and cup brackets have been included. Cup draws will be completed after one full round of matches and fixtures will be updated accordingly.
