Guidelines and Considerations Regarding Promotion and Relegation

Dear all,

Thank you for attending the Women’s League 24-25 Convenors’ Meeting.

For your reference we attach the Convenors Notes and Notes for Captains for the new season as well as the Guidelines and Considerations Regarding Promotion and Relegation. The proposed Bye-laws changes will be updated in due course. 

Please also note the following guidelines for female umpires:

" Premier Division, Division One and Division Two teams must ensure that at least 50% of their team umpiring duties for league matches must be done using female umpires.

No less than the same number of qualified female umpires (or female players who have passed the beginner’s course and are awaiting their practical assessment) as the number of registered teams within the women’s league by the last league game of the season.

Failure to do so will result in each team of any affected affiliated club being deducted one point.

The HockeyHKWS will review the above guidelines half-way through the season.”

Kindly be reminded to submit your kit design (new or old) on or before noon, 22 August 2024.
