Dear Convenors,
HockeyHKWS would like to remind clubs that Core/Non-Core submissions will need to be provided to the committee for review prior to the start of season. As we understand that any clubs are still holding trials over the coming week and weekends, we request that Core/Non-Core submissions are as follows:
- By EOD Thursday 29th August – please submit a good draft of the Core/Non-Core player list in the attached format (See “Core & Non-Core player designations) based on the information at the time, for HockeyWS committee to start review on the player lists and provide comments as applicable.
- By 5pm Monday 2nd September – please submit a final list of all Core/Non-Core designations. If this deadline is missed, the prior submission shall be used for the start of season. Please clearly indicate in the attachment the changes from the first submission for ease of review.
Note that this requirement is only applicable for affiliated clubs with multiple teams, and alliance clubs. We shall re-circulate a reminder on the Core rules prior to the start of season – there have been some simplifications to the rules, namely all players are eligible to play up only three times and automatically registered to the higher team on the 4th play up. This is consistent with the main bye laws and will reduce the admin burden.
