HockeyHKWS 24-25 Circular No. 15 - Open Selection for Women's Junior Asia Cup 2024

The Women’s National Squad Committee is conducting an open selection process for the Women’s U21 Squad for the upcoming Junior Asia Cup 2024 in Muscat, Oman, from 7 to 15 December, 2024 (exact dates to be confirmed). Travel will involve departing two days before the tournament and returning the day after.

Selection Details:

Players will be assessed based on attendance, attitude, and performance during training sessions and Bauhinia matches. Players may play for both Bauhinia and their club team.

Trial Period:

Dates: September 9 – end of October 2024
Days and Times:
Monday: 16:30-18:00
Tuesday: 18:00-19:30
Friday: 16:30-18:00
Venue: Happy Valley Recreation Ground No. 11
Coach: Tsoanelo PHOLO

Bauhinia A Matches (Premier Division):
Schedule: Mondays at 19:00, Happy Valley Recreation Ground No. 9+10
 
Bauhinia B Matches (First Division):
Schedule: Mondays at 19:00, Happy Valley Recreation Ground No. 9+10 occasionally Wednesdays or Fridays
 
Selection for matches will consider training attendance, attitude, and performance from the previous week. Player selection for Bauhinia matches will be announced Wednesday morning the week prior competition.

Eligibility:

Players must be born on or after January 1, 2003, and hold a valid HKSAR passport.
 
For Overseas Players:
HKSAR passport holders currently overseas may also be considered.
Submit a 5-minute training or match highlight video from the last month, clearly identifying the player, along with a playing CV and a clip of the full 30/15 fitness test with results.  Selected players must return to Hong Kong (at their own expense) before the tournament and attend at least three training sessions immediately prior to the event.  Upload all required materials to the Google Drive and share the link.

Remarks:

1. Late submissions will NOT be considered.

3. If you are unable to attend training sessions or matches, please provide a reason beforehand. Late reasons will not be accepted and will be marked as absent.
