HockeyHKWS 24-25 Circular No. 27 - HK Barbarians Team - Registration of Interest

Dear Convenors of Saturday Premier Division Teams,

Please can you share the below with your Premier Division players.

The HockeyHKWS would like to put in place an official Barbarians squad with a view of providing matches to our women’s national team to help them with the preparations for their international competitions.

We will also be looking out for other competitions for the Barbarians to compete in.  The first potential competition for the Barbarians squad will be against Country Australia, with a match scheduled on one of the following dates: 14th, 15th, or 17th April 2025 (exact date to be confirmed).

The Barbarians squad will initially be formed of players currently playing in the premier division, not in the current national squad.

We will provide further information at a later date about the logistics and plans for this squad.

In the meantime if you are interested in being invited to join this squad please complete the google form below by 24 February, 2025.
