Supplementary trial information
Dear all,
The Women’s National Squad Committee will be conducting selection trial sessions to select potential players for the National Squad for 2026. The Asian Hockey Federation has advised HockeyHK that only HKSAR passport holders are eligible to represent Hong Kong, China at international tournaments.
Details of the trials are as below:
Senior Squad and WHIT team:
Dates: 12, 19 January 2026 (Monday), 13, 20 January 2026 (Tuesday), 15, 22 Jan 2026 (Thursday) (Trialists must attend at least 4 out of 6 sessions)
Time: 19:00-22:00
Venue: Happy Valley Recreation Ground, Pitch no. 11(Tuesday)/ King’s Park Hockey Ground (Monday, Thursday)
Junior Squad:
Dates: 12, 19 January 2026 (Monday), 16, 23 January 2026 (Friday) (Trialists must attend at least 2 out of 4 sessions)
Time: 16:30-18:00
Venue: King’s Park Hockey Ground
Fitness test must be completed to be eligible.

All current squad members and CSTB squad must re-apply.
Players attending these sessions should arrive at the ground sharp and bring along a white shirt and a dark blue shirt, mouth guard and shin guards. The Asian Hockey Federation has advised the HockeyHK that only HKSAR passport holders are eligible to represent Hong Kong at international tournaments. Players are therefore required to produce their HKSAR passport as proof of eligibility before they can be considered for selection for the National Squad.
Those enrolled to trial can continue to join training until squad announcement. The current Women’s Senior Squad training sessions are generally held from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm on Monday and Thursday at King's Park Hockey Ground and held from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm at Happy Valley Recreation Ground on Tuesday. The current Women’s Junior Squad training sessions are generally held from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday and Friday at King's Park Hockey Ground. (If a Junior trialist wishes to be considered for WHIT, you are required to attend the senior squad trial session.) There are also additional ad hoc training sessions when deemed appropriate.
If you would like to attend these trial sessions, or submit overseas application, please fill in the following Google Form by 19th December 2025.
HKSAR Passport holders that are currently overseas and unable to attend trials may also be considered. The requirements for overseas players are outlined in detail in the supplementary information. All information required for selection for overseas athletes must be submitted to Gary (details below) no later than 18th January 2026.
If you are unable to attend 4 out of 6 trials sessions due to known absence, but still wish to be considered for the squad, then you shall be treated as an overseas player and must meet the requirements stipulated within the supplementary information for overseas players.
Remarks:
1. Late submission will not be considered
2. The National Squad Selection Criteria and Appeal Mechanism is attached for your reference.
3. Please note that all players MUST attend trial sessions as per requirements. In case you cannot attend the session(s), please provide us with a reason for consideration if this will be accepted. Please note that reasons submitted after the trial will not be entertained and will be deemed as absent.
