Dear Club Convenors, Coaches and Umpires,
The Hong Kong Hockey Association is pleased to announce that Hong Kong will host the 5th Women’s Hockey Invitational Tournament and 10th Hong Kong Quadrangular Hockey Tournament from 22-24 March 2019.
There will be total 8 teams including Hong Kong and oversea teams to participate in the tournaments. The Association would like to invite the hockey community to join the voluntary workforce :
i. Liaison Officers (LOs) 5 people – age of 18 year-old or above
Duties - to provide support to visiting teams
- to escort the visiting teams on arrival at the airport/ pick up point;
- to accompany and assist visiting teams for hotel check in;
- to escort visiting teams to and from hockey ground for training or matches;
- to provide general information and responsible for communication between HKHA and teams.
**LOs are required to pick up teams on teams’ arrival on 21 March and escort team’s departure on 24/25 March 2019 depending on teams’ flight schedule.
Allowance based on LCSD rate of $48/hour and travelling allowance (reimbursable) will be offered.
ii. Hockey Ground Operation
Four hockey matches are expected to be played on a day
Tentative schedule will be:
21 Mar: 18:30 – 22:00
22 Mar: 16:30 – 22:00
23 Mar: 12:30 – 20:00
24 Mar: 12:30 – 18:00 (Prize presentation will be held afterward)
Arrival time of work force will be 1 hour in advance before the first match start.
Following workforce will be needed.
a) MC - 1 person – (Capable in English, Mandarin and Cantonese speaking is preferred.) For matches and prize presentation announcement.
Allowance based on LCSD rate of $48/hour for event helper will be offered;
b) Scoreboard Team – 2 – 4 people. 2 people as a team per match. With KP scoreboard operation experience is preferred. Each team to be responsible to cover at least two (2) matches per match day is preferred.
Allowance: HKD250 per team per match;
c) Ball boys and ball girls – one ball boy team and one ball girl team - 6 to 8 people as a team per match. Each team to be responsible to cover at least two (2) matches per match day is preferred.
Allowance based on LCSD rate of $48/hour for event helper will be offered; and
d) Helpers for General Duty- 4-5 people per match day.
