HKHAWS 16-17 Circular No. 18 - National Squad Trials

To: Convenor of Affiliated Clubs (Women's)
cc: HKHA Council
      HKHA Sections

Dear Convenor,

The Women's Section is holding trials for female players to be selected into the National Senior squad.  This is an open trial and anyone who meets the criteria below can attend. Any tournaments or training camps this year will be selected from the squad picked from these trials. Selections will also be made for the upcoming National games qualifier, which has different eligibility rules (please see details below).

Trial details are:

Dates: 6th, 9th & 10th February 2017
Time: 7:30-9pm
Venue: King's Park Hockey Ground

Players need to bring their HKID cards and passports (copies accepted) and arrive at least 15 minutes before start time in order to complete registration.  It is important that players attend all sessions so we can see more of them.

According to the AHF (Asia Hockey Federation), players representing Hong Kong will need to hold an HKSAR passport.  If in case a player passing the trials is eligible to apply for this document but hasn't done so, she will be accepted into the squad on condition that she will apply for this document as soon as possible. The exception is for the upcoming National games qualifiers at the end of April. For this tournament Permanent HKID card holders are eligible to play.

Information on whether you're eligible to apply for an HKSAR passport can be found at: http://www.gov.hk/en/residents/immigration/traveldoc/hksarpassport/eligibilityforpassport.htm.

If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thanks and regards,
