HKHAWS 18-19 Circular No. 21 - Fixtures, Knockout Tournament and League Winners

Dear Convenors,
We attach the draft league fixtures and scheduled knock out tournament slots for January - May 2019. Please note that the finals of the Holland Cup, Cup and Plate will be played during the weekend of 4/5 May 2019. However the exact date and time will be notified to teams in due course.
League Winners
Please note that the league winners of each division will be winners of such division after completion of the last complete round. Therefore the league winners of Premier to division 3 will be the winners after the second round. The league champions of division 4 will be determined after the first round.
The additional half round for the premier division (premier A and premier B) will be used to determine seedings for the Holland Cup with the top 4 teams after the second round playing for the top 4 seeds and the bottom 4 playing for the bottom 4 seeds with points being reset at the start of the round for all teams. Depending on the final position of the Veterans A after this half round, their opposition will receive a bye into the next round.
The additional half round for the fourth division will be used to determine seedings for the Saucer with the top 6 teams after the first round playing for the top 6 seeds and the bottom 5 playing for the last 2 places for the saucer with points being reset at the start of the round for all teams.
Knock Out Tournament
Please note that each division will play in its own tournament:
- Premier Division - Holland Cup
- Division 1 - Cup
- Division 2 - Plate
- Division 3 - Bowl
- Division 4 - Saucer
Preliminary games will be played for the Cup, Plate and Bowl and the teams playing in such rounds will be determined according to their placings after the end of the second round of league games.
Please note that it may not be possible to determine the matches for e.g. Premier A or Premier B or preliminary rounds until the week before such matches due to final placings of teams potentially being decided in the last league game. However slots have been reserved for these games therefore this should be sufficient notice for clubs to ensure their teams' availability well in advance.
Regarding the slots for the knockout tournament matches, these have been provisionally set to allow teams to plan their schedules accordingly and facilitate player availability but remain subject to final confirmation by LCSD.
