HKHA 22-23 Circular no. 3 - Recruitment of MS National Coach & Development Officer

Dear all,
The Hong Kong Hockey Association is seeking for suitably qualified and experienced candidate for the post of Men’s National Coach & Development Officer. The main duties of the post include:
- To deliver high quality coaching for the Men’s Squad Programme
- To deliver player development programmes to progress development/ junior squad to senior level
- To create a performance environment for athletes and instill performance behaviour
- To lead the Men’s Senior and Junior Squads for participation in the international tournaments;
- To develop training programs for the designated Men’s Squads to meet the above objectives;
- To provide evidence-based reports and feedbacks on each athlete, assistant coaches and managers as requested by the Squad Sub-committee;
- To assist in reviewing and formulating the HKHA development programs in order to raise the standard of coaching;
- To conduct outreach programs for promotion and development of hockey in schools, universities and communities and identifying young talents.
- To coordinate S&C, lifestyle and rehabilitation programmes for athletes
Requirement of professional qualifications and work experience:
- Qualification of FIH Coaching Certificates Level 3 or higher;
- Proficiency in sport coding and performance analysis system/ products and computer literacy
- Minimum 3-year coaching experience with regional or high performance athletes
- Experience in coaching elite teams across all age groups and multi-cultural environment;
- Experience in managing hockey development programmes; and
- Good communication skills in English.
The initial term of appointment will be a two-year contract. Renewal will be subject to mutual agreement and satisfactory performance.
