HKHAMS 22-23 Circular No. 27 - Player Movement Rules in Knockout Competitions

Dear Convenors,

This is to remind you that according to Section 7.8 of the Men's Competition Bye-laws, a player can only play for ONE team in knockout competitions. 

The rule also applied to U21 players, once the U21 player has played for a team of a Club in the knockout competitions, he cannot play for another team of the Club in the competitions.

The bye-laws 7.8 is quoted below for your reference.

"Once a player has participated for a team in one of the Cup competitions, he cannot play for any other team in any Cup competition thereafter without the Committee’s approval, which will only be given if the player in question was a necessary replacement for the game in question to enable a team to be fielded. For the avoidance of doubt, this provision also applies to goalkeeper."
