Recruitment of Assistant Coach for Women’s Junior Squad

Hockey Hong Kong, China is looking to appoint a qualified and experienced assistant coach for the women’s Junior squad.

The junior squad assistant coach’s main duties include:

1.          Assist head coach Pholo Tsoanelo in all aspects of local training (training is on Mondays and Fridays from 16:30 to 18:00, there will be further training added when necessary as we prepare for the Junior AHF Cup in June in Singapore;

2.          Create and execute a development plan for the junior squad

3.          Prepare and travel with the squad in all upcoming overseas training camp and tournaments;

4.          Assist in the coaching of Bauhinia development squad in the league;

5.          Assist HockeyHK coach(es) to coach other HockeyHK squads if needed;

6.          Any other relevant duties as determined by HockeyHK or the head coach whenever necessary.

We invite applicants who can demonstrate the following: 

1. Personality and people management’s skills to inspire excellence individually and as a team.

2. Excellent communicator with all stakeholders

3. Expertise in any particular area of the game / position

4. Holders of FIH Coaching Certificates (FIH Level 2 or higher) 

5. Coding knowledge is a plus

Applicants should be comfortable in coaching elite teams with local and multi-cultural backgrounds.  The initial term of appointment will be a contract for one year.  There is scope for the role to be extended.
