Sexual Conviction Record Check for HKHA qualified coaches
Dear HKHA qualified coaches,
The HKHA, as an NSA, is required to have all prospective employees to undergo the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme if these employees need to undertake work relating to children or mentally incapacitated persons (MIPs). This is to enhance the protection of children or MIPs from sexual abuse.
HKHA would only select coaches who have completed the SCRC to take on courses/events which would involve interaction with children and MIPs. If you are holding a valid SCRC code, please send it to us for our record. Otherwise, you are requested to complete the check before taking on any of these courses/events. The HKHA would provide the employment letter for your SCRC application. Please inform us two working days in advance to prepare it for you and send us your SCRC result immediately after completing the process.
There is an application fee of $115 which will be borne by you. For more details on the scheme, please visit their website http://www.police.gov.hk/ppp_en/11_useful_info/scrc.html.
Thank you for your understanding.
Should you have any queries, please feel free to contact us.
